The purpose for this project was to take several sequential pictures that told a story. I chose to shoot photos of my little brother exploring the religious aspect of death at a church he's always fascinated by, even though we don't practice a religion. It displays powerful emotions while at the same time expressing the curious nature of children. A technique that will help me improve my photos is remembering to follow a plot line, because if I go astray it can mess up the overall sequence part of it.
Narrative Project
For this project, our objective was to take photos that are meant to be interpreted in a way that tells a story. For my first photo, it could be said that the subject of the picture is trying to escape up the ladder from all of the chaos going on below in his world. The second photo can tell us that he's possibly going to work, going about his day and moving forward. One technique from this project I can use to improve my photos is to think carefully about what I'm shooting and a meaning behind it, so that my pictures can be more than just point and shoot.
